Stella Rimington

The first woman Director General of MI5 on her latest thriller The Devil's Bargain

Stella Rimington was the first woman to take on the role of Director General, MI5, Britain’s domestic security service.

When she retired from the post, after nearly 40 years at MI5,  Stella said she had set herself a new mission – to “rescue spy stories from the blokes.”

Since then, she’s written over eleven books, and is back, with a tense new thriller The Devil’s Bargain.
