The Serapeum of Saqqara is an underground complex in Egypt with long tunnels and enormous granite sarcophagi.
The site was historically used for the burial of the sacred Apis bulls that were worshipped in Memphis.
The sarcophagi are made from massive blocks of stone and often weigh between 60 and 100 tons.
How the sarcophagi were made and positioned with such precision is not fully documented.
This has made the Serapeum a site that is often discussed in both archaeology and alternative interpretations.
