Cicada 3301 is an anonymous internet movement that became known in 2012 when a mysterious message appeared on the forum 4chan. The puzzle consisted of advanced challenges that combined cryptography, literature, art, music, and physical clues placed in various locations around the world. The stated goal was to recruit “highly intelligent individuals,” but no one has been able to confirm the true purpose behind it. A central part of the mystery is the book Liber Primus, written in runes, with several pages that remain unsolved. To this day, no one knows whether Cicada 3301 was an intelligence operation, a secret society, or an artistic experiment.
