The Black Knight satellite is a mysterious object that some people claim has been orbiting Earth for thousands of years. The idea became popular after strange radio signals were reported by inventor Nikola Tesla in 1899. Later stories linked the object to unusual radar detections and space photographs taken during missions by NASA. Scientists generally explain the images as pieces of space debris or thermal blankets lost during space missions. There is no verified evidence that the Black Knight satellite is an ancient alien probe.
