Skinwalker Ranch, formerly known as Sherman Ranch, is a 512-acre (207-hectare) property located southeast of Ballard, Utah, that is well known for being the site of alleged paranormal activity and UFO-related phenomena. Its name is derived from the skinwalker of Navajo legend—a vengeful shaman believed to possess supernatural powers.
