Erin Patterson has lost her bid to overturn her murder convictions, and instead will now serve life without parole.
Victoria’s Court of Appeal rejected her challenge to the verdicts, including arguments over the jury’s accommodation and the evidence used against her. However, the prosecutors succeeded in their motion for a tougher sentence, resulting in her 33-year non-parole period being removed.
In this episode, Wayne and Caroline examine why Erin Patteson’s appeal failed, and look at what this means for the mushroom killer.
